teaching philosophy

My teaching philosophy advocates for the breaking of things by students, whether those things be a piece of writing, software they are researching, or a website they are building. From English Composition to Digital Writing, my courses sit within a number of technologies–language, text, and the tools of production among them. I hope to help my students better understand these technologies and their uses by privileging moments of failure or frustration as central to learning and critical engagement.
